So, a couple of weeks ago, we heard that Kevin's brother fell and broke his hip. Tuesday, this past week Kevin fell and ruptured his quadricep tendon. He had repair surgery on Wednesday and the doctor said everything went fine. Yesterday my brother's wife fell and broke her foot. As far as we are concerned, this is enough. No one else has any permission to do any more damage to themselves.
What we are looking at is a long slog through physical therapy, starting in about six weeks. In the meantime, he has to lie on the sofa with his foot elevated and he's bored out of his noggin. I'd say visits would be welcome, but with the combined schedule, it's hard to say when anyone would be home, However phone calls would be most welcome.
Wow, very sorry to hear of all the falls. Unfortunately, falls are a serious threat to us older folks. Even the best of us have fallen in the bathroom. Blessings and the healing power of the Lord.
